Mee Brightly Sharp Eyeliner

Great news today that I am so honored to receive this newly launched brand in Malaysia, called Mee Cosmetic from Essential Beauty House (Link below this post)

I am sure all my readers would be aware that my eyes are monolid and I rely heavily on eyeliner to make my eyes look more awaken and attractive. Hence, I love eyeliners, and enjoy trying out as many new brands as possible, cause we will never know which one will work wonders.

Let me introduce to u, Meme Cosmetic. A brand from Thailand but manufactured in Korea, so the quality is at par with all other Korean products. A definitely trust worthy product. Mee Brightly Sharp Eyeliner has been one of the fast selling eyeliner in Thailand and Hong Kong. It has also currently won CLEO Best Liquid Eyeliner 2014 Award. What's not to love about it right?

Look at the beautiful packaging. As I have mentioned, I love luxurious looking packaging. Brings a whole new standard to the product.

The beautiful heart shaped details is cute.

Here, this is a close up shot of the eyeliner. Sturdy right size for the hand to grip.

This is my favourite part. Just look at the pointy tip of the eyeliner. Its the right size. Right sharpness. Right length. Right durability.

I appreciate it for the level of blackness. Very impressive indeed.

Just take a look at the precise sharpness I am able to achieve using Meme Brightly Sharp Eyeliner.

Aren't u impressed by the clean line I am able to draw, despite having shaky hands..LOL

So, don't wait any longer, as attached, this is where you can order Meme Brightly Sharpness Eyeliner. Check out www.essentialbeautyhouse.com.my

Pricing details can be viewed from the website.

Recapping 2014

I know i should have start to write this post at the start of January, but now , it's like the first week of February already, (is it really? omy, so fast)

So here's a few unforgettable events that should not be missed even though i'm stepping into 2015.

Let's rewind back to January 2014, yEssss with some pictures. I am vain, but please bear with me.

January

Started selling Preloved clothings online

and that is how i broaden my business from there, from Preloved to Brand new,
selling preloved was easier because there are many platforms that enable you to share out your clothes, a lot of preloved groups in facebook and all that~
from there, i have lost my interest in teaching violin at Perlis, my boss had stopped giving me students because his son is now free to teach too so i figure out there is no point in continuing my job in there, plus i really hate teaching.

Got my first sponsored products from Luxola Singapore (:

It was the first review products from Singapore, so i figure out it is really a big stepping milestone from blogging.

First photoshoot with KingP by Alexa

i did a couple of photoshoots before but KingP by Alexa was my favorite of all :) it's funny how we met each other online through mutual friends and boom , i have about four photoshoots with her already so far.
This photoshoot marks the first start of our relationship :D

February
Chinese New Year

No pictures haha, but this is the first CNY where Dan came visiting, he was officially known by my parents :D From then onwards, my parents can openly discussed and talk about him to me and all that, no more pretending like i don't have a boyfriend haha.

MARCH

Best result ever achieved in my whole 19 years

i think i am growing as years pass. i cannot believe i was once the bottom 10 in my primary school,  i actually score only 3 A's for UPSR, was placed the last class in Secondary school~
but i want to say thank you to some people who actually pushed me to study harder when i'm in form 1, because the class i was in was the nightmare of my days.
Was bullied
All too much to bear for a 13 year old, so i started to study really hard to get out of that class.
I did, i succeeded .
i was not born smart, remember that.

but then, i realize result doesn't matter now when you're in uni,
will get back to that later
but it's an achievement unlock~

Choosing the right course to apply

I applied to USM (Communication studies) and UM (Media studies )
and also NTU, SG (Mass Communication )

Faces a lot of objection saying that i should choose a professional course~
thank god i didn't choose music right? like it was my dream for 10 years to study music and now i've change it 360 degree.

Got into NTU for Economics

You got to be kidding me, WHY I DIDN"T GO NTU!?!?!? THE WORLD TOP 50 university and CHOOSE USM Which is like rank 200 plus in the world.
people are DYYYYIIING to go
but i didn't want economics.
No.....
okay i admit i like Economics back in High school, but dang this wasn't my first choice.
i try to appeal to change to media studies,
they turn me down .
T_T
but it's also an achievement unlock to got into NTU.

April
Fash Grace was born on the 1st of April

After doing preloved, i thought of doing more so i started ordering a few readystocks to sell
Named my shop Fash Grace because we must be fashionable in a graceful way
i have no idea how it meant but i just want it to sound graceful
LOL
i tell you, it wasn't easy at the beginning.
Business was slow
SLLLLOOOOOOWWW
i thought of giving up already, a lot of suggestion from my sister, from my friends. but nothing seeems to work to boost up the sales
then i decided not to waste anymore stocks so i did preorder instead
and it grows from there.
slowly batches after batches it increases gradually.
Trust me,
Open an instashop whenever you do an decided to open an online store.
Instagram HELPPPSS alot

Went back school as a choir member again

VERRRY funny to be disguising as a form five student when i'm suppose to be in university student already.
I wasss so happy to get to wear my red choir skirt again.
it is also the final year of Choir in Convent already, so sad our Choir teacher is going to retire soon and i don't think our Choir team will be the same after his retirement.

MAY
Interview for USM, UM and UPM
I didnt go for UPM because it was music and i was scared if i got into music, UM will not accept me in for Media, because between these two, only one can choose me.

read the blog post here :

The start of my Panic Disorder

i thought it was caffeine attack,
nahh it's just a disorder where i will go into this kind of " I CAN"T BREATH!! SAVE ME!!!" mode for about 20-30 minutes , three times a day.
Some are pretty nasty i felt like i'm about to pass out.
Some have weird effects like i cannot swallow my saliva,
i cannot feel myself
numb
cold
scared
shivering
heart pumping so fast you felt like it will stop anytime

it went on till September, i cannot imagine how i manage to pass everyday for four months of panic bickering mode like a bomb.

from that day onward, i have stopped eating chocolates, or drink coffee or tea.
don't let me taste any of that,i almost got that attack last month at a holiday after eating two sticks of Pepero.

June
My sister got married!

First time attending a wedding ceremony in Sinapore. It wasn't a wedding to be exact, just a ROM ceremony.
i ate like a pig

July: Passed 2 years with him

August: Got into USM and UM

I was pretty sure my heart is in USM the minute i got two offers. It became even more obvious when Dan got into USM too!
i didn't expect that ! i was expecting him to be shipped off to Sabah or Sarawak far from me
wahahahaha
it was the greatest news for me and him
so i went packing for USM, to be closer to home (:

The Comm Gang Group was born

first i added a few people whom i know got into Communication studies too in usm in a facebook group.
Then more and more people start to add others and more and more people came flooding in . We chat non stop till the next morning.
It was such an awesome and exciting feeling to know so many new people around that will be my coursemates  soon .
then we decided to move to Whatsapp for convenient sake.

The Comm Gang group was officially born~

September-January
University life

When you have soooooo many coursemates that celebrated your birthday :D
when you have soooo many coursemates to talk to
i dn't think three months is enough for me to know each and everyone of them haha
but i know all of us are VERRRY NOISY hahaaha, we're communication students after all. hahahaha

but i did a lot of university life post on my blog dy, so i'm not going to elaborate further here hahah~~

let's talk about the university :D

We get to wear as we like if we have no lectures to attend to .
I heard some university don't permit students to wear shorts even going to the cafeteria to buy food .
i felt abit lucky for myself, i think i will just die because i care about my outfit more than anything else. whahahaha

i drove in campus even though i'm just a first year student
i really think USM is really lenient haha, as long as you don't bocor you are first year student and park at the right place , it's fine

WHat to eat was always our question to one another.
Even right before class starts, this question will pop out of nowhere,
our answers were always the same
Shubaidah
Bakti
Anjung
Bali bali

i admit sometime i do feel left out, but  if i actually look back and reflect everything i had quite a blast.
Our countdown , my car broke down, wahaha
our selfie battle with the selfie king,
our constant feud with our own assignments
staying up late till next morning
fighting for the bus
birthday celebrations
gatherings
what more can i ask for :D

May this 2015 year be as colorful as 2014 (:

hopefully semester 2 will be a better one
I have decided to minor in Music despite being the oddball.

Here's a selfie because i'm vain :P

Um or Usm ?

Weee, okay it is sooo like me to pop into my blog again to announce to the whole world (like a big stuck up fisherman proud of his catch)the result of which University i'm going, no don't get me wrong, i am just here to make me talk to myself (mentally , unless you think i'm crazy) or in other words, by writing it out, it will helped weigh the thing properly.

It's not like oh, this university is good, i should go there, STUDY there,
no , we, as a form six leaver, took the path where the government CHOOSES for you (if he doesn't do this, everybody would become doctors and lawyers)
but lucky me, i do not sought for professional courses, and opt for a road which i love to be in .

Of course your STPM result plays an important role of getting what you want.
Many had asked me to strive higher since getting 3.92 eligible me for something even more well deserving. nah, i wanted to MAKE SURE the government give me this course, giving up NTU in Singapore is harder , but i know what i want, Economics will kill me.

what makes it harder now is that Both Uni offered the SAME course that i want
(although the course name differs, the subjects are more or less the same , or maybe differ a bit, who am i to say, im not a student there yet T_T)
let's weigh the pros and cons shall we?

 Universiti Malaya
with a history of 100 years, the first and foremost university in Malaysia with a high reputation in all Malaysian's eyes.
Okay, imagine you and your mum walking down the street, and some random aunty come and ask

"oh! where did your girl go study?"
"UM."
"Waaaa *mouth open and eyes start to look at me like i suddenly exist into something special*)

ahahah this is reality lah, but i bet USM , people will still look at you like you are something special too, but UM is more like ~ well, prestigious or something~
okay never mind, name is not that important , your future is more important

Universiti Sains Malaysia
this university is still new compared to UM, but it is improving, and ever since they achieved APEX status , they tried everything to bring their name forward, making sure their APEX reputation does not discriminate or something. Been doing some research over google,(although it's source may not be trustable) , this university is out beating a few universities already, and seeing that they are seperated from UPU system,
it somehow is VERY special indeed to be handpicked by that university itself, instead of computer generated system in UPU.

course wise~
UM  is media studies, they would not like us to say they have public relations as one of their subjects, nah, nah, nah, the interviewer will backfired you (like it happen to one of my friends T_T) but this is under the school of arts and social science, they do not have a school on their own like USM,
and the amount of students for this course is not as many as compared to usm.

And USM has a higher reputation for mass com (this word quite pantang in USM communication school because they don't want to be regarded as mass com, just communication studies , so i'm trying to be general here, not specific)

Judging by the interview i went, USM is more serious for this course, they dig you, they grill you, they make sure you know what you signed up for, while UM
the interviewer just take a glimpse of your result, and confirmed everything.
period.

USM course layout is very systematic too, i have read through their course module and was very pleased at their subjects , while UM does not highlight their courses properly and i was a bit confused what i'm going to study after enrolling in their school.
and with so many helpful seniors from USM assist group , USM info group, it just boost my confidence that USM will be the right choice.  (uh oh, did i spill the beans too fast?)

other than that, USM has a school on its own, School of Communications with so many lecturers and by looking at their organization chart, all are expertise in this field
while UM, they have fewer lecturers as compared to USM, but not being a school on its own has doubted me. (um students, don't throw eggs at me ah)

Location wise
location is not important when stating the factors, as long as the degree you are offered is recognized and is what you want, location should not be a problem. Because after all, all degrees are the same. We get the same job, we get the same pay, and we live the same life.

still, UM sounds challenging for me yet exciting , because it's in KL, the city full of new things and new stuff for me to learn and do. Like you can't sit a monorail in penang right? you can't go to big big shopping malls in penang right? (Penang has big shopping malls too just that i can even count which shop lots to the nearest toilet outlet in every floor of gurney and queensbay) meaning i'm bored of Penang.

still it's full of temptations too, guai guai go Penang and be a good girl , huh
no serious, i also do not like over complicated places where you know nowhere is safe. of course Penang also not safe lah, i mean i sit at home watch TV also not safe, anything can happen, but best to not bring more worries to your family. haha

 -------------------------------------------------------------
actually, a lot of people would go
(see picture below)

but when you know your heart is with which uni, you just go ahead

Boyfie also get USM, and he is soooo lucky
USM is top 28th in the whole world for environmental science
this is REALLY good news to both of us
but still i don't know what is that course about haha

typical art student~ lol

so , ya, here i come! still waiting for my dad to give me the cue to press the "sah" button
and wow, rm1100 for a year ! that's like Rm92 per month
of course excluding hostel accommodation, meal, transportation, exam papers, extra charges blah blah. haha but still beats private so much,

a bit sick now, time to stop ranting

How to deal with panic attack

Hi , this is something unrelated to what i usually blog about, but it is related to me anyway
This happen 2 months ago, i can still remember clearly which date and what day it was because it was 3 days before Dan's birthday , ahaha
alright, it happen right after sitting in the car from Penang to Alor Star back, obviously i been traveling too much because that week i went to Penang three times !
i thought it was caffeine attack because i drank too much coffee and i felt very weird after drinking that.
I can still remember the first panic attack i have, i feel like the whole world is crumbling on my feet, i can't breathe, i had that kind of out of body sensation, i was so giddy i can't even walk, my whole body was shaking, jittering i need badly to squeeze something because i can't feel myself,my heart beat was so fast i thought i had a heart attack,  i felt like dying ):

my parents try to detoxify me with juice thinking that it was the caffeine effect, ya, i swallowed alot of liquid that night, and i slept like a zombie
the next day i went to see the doctor, we both thought it was just caffeine attack so he gave me palpitation pills to reduce my heart rate because it was still beating like a choo choo train .

it settled down for one day i happily went Penang again .__. stupid me
then it strike again the next day after working . i can't breathe much, damn, i hate that sensation i can feel it now when i type this. gahh

anyway the very next day we went to the hospital this time and did ECG, blood test and urine test, and everything is just positive. nothing is wrong with me and the doctor thought it was stress.
i came back the hospital after one week of getting numerous attacks , it usually happen 3 times a day but i'm glad as days go by it reduced to once a day only (still it is unpredictable, like today, it actually strikes twice and i dread for it to happen again tonight)

anyway, after seeing him twice he refer me to another doctor and after that that doctor diagnose me with panic disorder ):
yaya people would just say "you got panic meh?" "you panic what?"
i no panic ! thank you!
but he gave me a booklet that explains everything i need to know

"panic attacks may occur even if you are watching a movie, eating or even sleeping. The first attack may be triggered by something, and the next thing you know you are having several attacks later even though you are cleared off from any problems."

then i googled alot and realize (see picture below)

and most of them deal with them for 5 to even 20 years
this is quite saddening to hear that i have to go through it for so long
i was given medication but i had terrible side effects after consuming it,
so i swore off medication and opt for exercising to help me breathe better
good thing is after exercising , my frequent attacks had been reduced

1.ways to deal with your panic attack

they say you must breathe slowly and deeply
the more i try to breathe slowly and deeply, the more lightheaded i felt
i am totally hopeless in breathing properly
i just can't! if i concentrate too much i will faint.
this solution doesn't work for me
although some say it works like miracle

this of course is bad advice
nah, they say you must ACCEPT it
yes don't fight it, don't hope for it to stop, don't wait for it to stop, don't say "please don't happen right now, i got important things to do"
instead sit and talk to yourself
errr if you're in public do it mentally
i think this helps in calming down,
each time it happen to me, i just tell myself it will go off after 15-30 minutes (yes , mine is that long! )
that within this 15-30 minutes , they will not kill me
of course it will cause lots of discomfort
but they won't kill me
err i hope
haha

okay, i use to anticipate for the next attack to come
everytime i sit or do something vigorous, my mind seem to be playing tricks on me saying that "you shouldn't be doing this, you will have your attack soon!"
gaaah, anticipation will really disrupt your daily routine
i don't want to go out unless i'm going together with someone i can rely on
i don't wan to be alone because i'm afraid what if something happen to me and there is no one there to save me?

i did something amazing just now because i was alone and i had TWO panic attacks
seeing that there is nobody there and nobody to call to
i on  Youtube and search for "how to deal with panic attack naturally"
alot of video helps, and all the narrator are speaking calming advice to you
take that advice and apply it at what you are feeling right now
truth to be told, it went off after 5 minutes of listening to them

yes, it is still best to consult a doctor just to be sure.
haha and he will give you all sorts of advice to control your attacks too
mine was breathing through a paperbag but i find it hard to do that~

so i'm just going to do it my way
which is the slow way

which is

1. Exercising

2. Avoiding food that may cause heart palpitation like caffeine and alcohol

3. just sit and wait for it to go off after 15-30 minutes (: rather than freaking out and trying to push it away, i sit and then squeeze something to push any discomfort away. by squeezing something like a plush toy will avoid any out of body sensation and help you recover fast (, but that is my way anyway you can try it if you want)

and please to outside people, panic disorder is not what schizophrenia sickness okay? i won't go running around with the knife trying to chop you apart.
it's just something that your nervous system went wrong~
damn offended when people say i'm under depression or something or i will go around getting insane and heated up
what goes around comes around anyway
it's not something to make fun off anyway,
you can laugh now
but can you laugh when you get it later on?
because studies show that 1 out of 75 people might experience it
hmmm

USM communication studies interview questions

alright , i'm sure those who got an offer from usm to sit for their communication studies interview is dying to know what the questions will be asked .
truth is, they repeat the same general questions since last two years, so just do some homework

right
here's the procedure:
1. we all gathered at the main school of communications
There are name lists there for you to refer which room you are placed in and the time of interview

2. Register with a few nice ladies outside according to your room placement
There will be five lines for five rooms, line up according to what room you are place in.
*tips* If you are the first to line up, you will be called first . There will be three person in a group, so i was the second person to register, so i was placed in the first group with a two other Chinese.

3. When everyone has registered, all of us lined up to walk to a big hall to take our written test
hall can accommodate all of us, so don't worry of being suffocating or being trampled if there is a stampede (like as if it will happen *troll face*)
You are asked to answer two essays , one in BM and another in English,

my BM topic was : Pemimpin yang anda kagumi (the leader you admire the most)
alright i have no one to write about, my dad? i not sure if that is related to the topic, so i just write about our current prime minister even though i do sound a bit exaggerating in it.

English topic was: A summary of your life
i was bragging about myself literally the whole page. Normally you would just write things that are positive and your strengths and achievements so that they will read about how awesome you are.
my last sentence i remembered " my life will be complete if i graduate as a communication studies student in USM"

other group topics (those afternoon session ) were:
sukan yang anda ketahui (sports you know) <-- font=""> why is this so easy than us?
a memorable day of your life
after 45 minutes, they collected your paper and you have to wait at the hall while the first group will be called to go to their various rooms. (i call it the panic room)

4. sit outside the room and wait
The interviewers are inside the room though, i can hear them giggling, laughing making jokes, and i was fidgeting outside not knowing what is inside.
the fact that each time the room was open, i can feel the cold breeze man, like fridge inside and i wanted to pee badly LOL
and oh yeah,  you don't need to wear nice shoes because they asked us to take off our shoes before entering,

so yeah.. we went into the panic room together , all three of us
so this is what they asked us
(as far as i can remember..LOL)

Interview lady: (bm) introduce yourself by looking at this paper below starting by the girl on the left.
  • name
  • where are you from
  • previous school
  • how many family members you have
  • what are your parents working as
Questions in BM
1. why do you choose communication studies in USM?

2. what is your hobby?

3. What activities do you participate in school?

4. What do you want to major in?

5. If you were made president of the communication club , what will you do?

6. What kind of Media do you use?

7. Do you read newspaper? which newspaper? which column do you like? why you like it? Do you listen to radio? which radio stations do you listen? why do you like it? Do you watch TV? which tv channel do you watch? Why do you like it? which host do you like? Do you read books? which book do you like? why do you like it?
(
like literally just repeat it and play
it around the three of us , i got the newspaper questions and i was relieved to know one of the writer of Startwo section because she has the same name as me " ANN TAN!" weee it totally save me from these questions )

Questions in English (very limited! so just gear up your BM)
1. if you were give persuasive communications as an advertiser, which media would you choose ?

(i told them social media and the internet, it's such a trend these days, they even have newspapers like theStar online and magazines online too)

2. Which advertisement to you like the most so far in all media you've seen?

(i told them the Digi yellowman "i will follow you" and everyone erupted into laughter thinking of a fat yellow man , i never been so thankful for Digi that time XD)

3. what kind of activities have you participate in school?

General questions
1. Population of Malaysia and the whole world
2. Main export in Malaysia
3. Who is the minister of education
4. USM school motto
5. What is Apex?
6. What is GST? and what is the purpose? will it benefit us?

outfit for my interview, simple and sluggish looking, ._. but this is the only outfit i can wear that time
don't bother what to wear, i went there and saw people wearing all sorts of things.
i even saw one girl wearing denim jeans and checkered blouse and i was like ..wat? is this formal or casual?
skirts are allowed, i actually like  those girls wearing office looking skirt, it was pretty looking .

all the best for those who haven't taken their interview yet

Best thing is they didn't even want to look at my certs nor even ask about my cgpa, you know when you go to any interview, and you hand in them your result with full A's  and countless certificates i gotten back in high school, you know you have those interviewers paying extra attention on you.

but no! i was so shattered man, like i may be shadowed by my group members because one couldn/t stop talking about "terror-ship" which is "taylor swift" if you listen it properly and another one who is pretty looking and have a sad story behind.
but other groups, they are made to show their certificates and everything, so i think other group may differ from other group.
it's a tight competition for this course, quite popular among art students and to think we are competing against diploma students too.
omygawd
*fingers crossed *
come what may ~

How to choose 12 courses for UPU

Well i guess, as a STPM leaver like me, i will face this kind of situation too like my fellow STPM leavers~

what should i put as my first choice?
do i have to choose till 12 courses?
what courses shall i put?  i can't even list out 12 courses that i like, or i have too many courses that i want, 12 is not enough!

yeah, please don't judge me, but i'm trying to clear my head too. writing it out makes me understand this situation even better.
Thanks to dad, he make a list for me ~ and i figure it out easily .
and yes, i'm going to use his tactics to help you all out too.

1. Visit the University site to check out what course they are offering

This is UPM site, and the courses they are offering.
sorry i just screenshot it, check the courses they are offering here :

2. List down the courses that you want from THAT particular university
Don't be lazy! LIST IT DOWN ON A PIECE OF PAPER
even though you forget how to write after 2-3 months break from school,
don't give excuses, call you dad, call your grandma or your neighbor's cat to write it down !
So here's an example :
which course that i find it interesting in UPM?
UPM
  1. Pentadbiran perniagaan (business management)
  2. Pembangunan manusia (human resource )
  3. Music
  4. Media studies (i doubt the media studies in UPM, so i'm having 50/100 on this course in this uni)
  5. economics
3. Check the minimum requirement for the courses you have listed down

for STPM leavers, look at the very left side~ yay, you see their minimum requirement is quite low for business management , but nah, in REALITY their required pointer is quite high as compare to this.  Thanks to a friend for sharing this to me~

so as expected, their minimum requirement is really quite high as compare to what they had said so in their official site.
I'm not here to be racist, but this (higher pointer requirement) is meant for Chinese. It was just base on statistics done previous year like 2011 -2013.

okay, once you have seen their minimum requirement, cancel out those listed courses that couldn't make it through the minimum requirement.

for example :

UPM

  1. Pentadbiran perniagaan (business management)
  2. Pembangunan manusia (human resource )
  3. Music
  4. Media studies (i doubt the media studies in UPM, so i'm having 50/100 on this course in this uni)
  5. economics
4. Visit another University site and do Step 1-3

i visited UM, seeing that it's one of the best local Uni in Malaysia~ lol
again i listed down those courses that i favor
UM
  1. Law
  2. Business Administration
  3. Property Management
  4. Economics
  5. Music (i doubt the music course in UM, i still think UPM has one of the finest music lecturers there)
  6. Media Studies

their requirement for Law~
super high~ *gulp* even so, you have to pass their interview too.
but trust me, their Business administration course is even higher (view the statistics too and their mode was 4.0)
my estimation of pointer will be more or less 3.85~ so *fingers cross*

5. Compare your different uni course list and cut it down to 12 courses

Here's my 4 different course list from 4 different uni
(because government only limit us choose 4 courses from research University only , so ya, i basically have to eliminate a lot! )
pick 8 other courses from other university such as UNIMAP, UMP, UMT, UUM, UNIMAS and so on) damn~ don't i hate this situation haha.

after evaluating, i come to a conclusion~

UPM (research university)
  1. Music
UM (research uni)
  1. Law
  2. Media Studies
UKM (research uni)
  1. Law
UUM (other uni )
  1. Business Law
  2. Economics, finance and Banking
  3. accounting
  4. blah and blah  and so on till you fill the 12th
(i suggest picking the same course that you choose for your research university, why mind when you still graduate with the same degree right?)

6.Rank your courses !

Be sure that your first three choices are the one you really WISH to get!
and of course be reasonable, you don't put medic when you have only 3.0 in your result.

this is where you different uni starts to mix up and ask yourself, is location more important than the course you want?
i know some people might be afraid of going to UUM because it's quite remote there, but still you graduate with the same course and degree right?
i understand that feeling too, because i, myself is sick of stucking here in the northern malaysia.

but it is up to you ~

damn, i'm so tired writing this. because i messed up just now thinking that i can put all 12 courses from research university
but truth is you can only pick 4 from Research university , and 8 other courses for other university~

Updated: After following my guidelines carefully, and i was thankful for getting 3.92 for my stpm,  i was called for:

  • Interview in USM for Communication studies (first choice)
  • Interview in UM for media studies (first choice)
  • Interview in UPM for music (fourth choice)
  • Hand in a video for UKM media studies (third choice)
  • a test for teaching course in UPSI (7th choice)
So Far, i am VERY lucky, normally they can get up to maximum 2-3 interviews only for BOTH UPU and USM. I never thought i can scrape 5 interviews in one go =.= so after filtering all,
  • I dropped UPM music interview because it was on the same date and time as UM's interview
  • UKM told me they will take me in if i didn't get any offer later on
  • I failed for the teaching course
and in the end i got two offers:
  • UM for media studies
  • USM for communication studies
did i mention that i got an offer from NTU too ? for economics?

and right now, i'm a proud USM student.
do make your choice carefully, do weigh out everything. If it concerns you too much, your STPM result does not mean you can't do well in THAT particular course you picked. I didn't do well for my first semester anyway, and i realize being smart before does not mean i am smart now =.- lol.
okok im bragging too much

good luck ya! jia you! may the odds be ever in your favor
