Sunday Mania at Flamingo Hotel

"Where to eat for tomorrow ah?" This is the question i frequently ask everyday especially on weekend where i wish i can eat something better than the ordinary daily meal. I've been craving a lot of local food lately ever since i came back from Taiwan (will blog about it soon :D) 

So, we went to Flamingo Hotel which offered a perfect Sunday Lunch Buffet called Sunday Mania where they offer a wide range of appetizer, Salad, soup, action dish and stalls, hot dishes and desserts. Best of all, it caters for all ages even for senior citizens too. 

 The first thing i saw as i walked down the stairs was the row of stalls with their ready chefs ready to cook something good for you.

 Sunday Mania starts from 12.30pm-2.30pm 

Adult: Rm39.90 Nett

Child: RM29.90 Nett

The special part is that those 60 years old and above is able to get it at low price which is RM29.90 Nett

There is also a spin and win wheel where if you spent rm100 and above, you get to spin this wheel for free. If you look closely, you can stand a chance to win a one night stay. 

 We were seated next to the swimming pool. The view had already brought us in good mood together. Everything was serene and beautiful outside.

 The whole area can contain about 250 guests, so don't worry if the place is crowded, there are plenty of seats for you. 

They had a really wide selection of food and even had a kid's corner which kids get to use a special kid utensils for serving. 

Not only that, they do also provide vegetarian food for vegetarian.

Here are some of the Hot Dishes

"Kuzi" boiled egg. Which was slightly spicy but just nice for my taste. 

 Everything was properly heated to make sure the food are not cold when the guest. Not to mention, there is a chef who constantly open the lid to check the condition of the food. Very well prepared and profesionally taken care of. 

 Stir fried glass noodles with chive and chili shrimps paste

                           

              Baked fish fillet of fish belle meuniere with risi bisi rice which is one of my favorite dish from the hot dishes. 

KIDS CORNER

 This is another corner for kids which i think is also a special corner for this Sunday Mania session. No worries ,even adults like me is able to get the food here. 

They had all sorts of porridge here, Four types for those who is picky, they can choose whichever type they want for their porridge. 

FRUITS CORNER

 Our table. I am happy they do have pizza too. Haha. 

They even cater two type of soups and one is for vegetarian as well. 

More food, Action dish and stall, desserts, salad dressing and pickles.

 When you think food is already enough inside the dinning area, there is another row of food section outside near the pool. There is just too many foods that i am unable to eat all. In this long row of tables were salads. 

Even for salads, they have so much to offer. Tomatoes, beet root, red cabbage, carrots, romance lettuce, mixed green with thousand island, italian dressing and french dressing to choose.

 Another local delight, Rojak. 

The containers for pickles that include Capers, Ghekin, pited black olives, corn kennel, cherry tomatoes and also pickle fruits.

ACTION DISH AND STALLS

 Mee Goreng and Rebus.  

Best thing about Action dish and stalls is that your food will not be left cold. Everything will be cooked after you ordered. I had never seen so many action stalls in one buffet. They had so many, (Make sure you walk till the end and turn left because there are a few stalls hidden from the section)

Penang Seafood Char Koey Teow in action. The highlighted dish as well because guests are able to tryout this local delight. I see many people queuing up for this.

 I was also surprised to see this too. Penang Lam Mee 

 A variety of local desserts, a place where my mum would love digging in. Bubur Pulut Hitam and Gandum & Kacang Hijau.

 They even had PASTA! YOu can choose whether to have it with chicken bolognaise sauce or concasse sauce. 

Just when i think there are no more stalls, i saw another one that makes "Roti Canai" "Roti Tissue" and "Roti Bom" served with their delicious dhal curry. 

This stall was also greeted with many guest as their "Roti Bom" was highly ordered.

This is my boyfriend's self made cake with ice-cream. We saw a whole tray of chocolate moist cake and i suggested that it would taste even better if we scoop their ice-cream and eat it together. He even took some fruits with it and it taste really good.

 They even had free Henna. They will try to put up new activities every week to keep the guest occupied especially the kids too. They will have sand painting activity too.

Overall, we enjoy the lunch there. There were so many food that is worth your money to pay for. It is quite friendly for senior citizens and also for kids too. With less than RM40 you can eat a lot of food that you crave for. From western to asian food, with great scenery to accompany for your meal, is a great spot for your Sunday lunch.

Chinese New Year With Me

 

 Yay, i'm still blogging and keeping up to my promises. Well let's see if my promises will still be kept once school reopen. Happy Chinese New Year everyone. How do you celebrate your Chinese New Year? It is pretty boring once i grew up, i remember i used to look forward to CNY because i get to play with my cousins, went visiting to other relatives' houses that i can't remember their names and staying over at Grandma's house. This year is pretty solemn, Grandma isn't around anymore. I don't stay overnight, my favourite cousins from Singapore didn't come back, i played with my phone all the time because there was nothing to talk about. How sad.

So we had reunion meal in my own house. Food my aunty prepared all day without me helping. HOHOHO , guilty in action. 

My family is a health freak especially my mum and sister. My sister eats only organic vegetables, and my mum doesn't eat any meat except fish. That explain how many dishes are actually vegetable orientated and we eat brown rice for every meal everyday, strictly wholemeal bread (white flour bread will be threw out of the house if it is in sight) and anything too sweet will be discarded too. No longan drink this year , instead we had healthy juice or coconut drink . 

i realise my grammar sucks till the max, but i can't be bothered trying to figure out my mistakes. Argh..

I waited till the 4th day of Chinese New Year. Was practically moody all day probably boyfriend-less makes me sad.

we had an annual dinner for Mummy's side of the family in a hotel. First time going to this event, so i pretty much look forward to it. 

And then the day came! He came AHH my happy pill. He wanted to come on day 3 because i was sad the whole week, probably wanted to shorten my sadness but i had a school gathering that night so i have to delay his visiting.  The best feeling is to watch him get down the train and then he glee at me and i glee back at him like we are both Cheshire cat from Alice in the Wonderland.But his stay was short, because we wanted to go Kek Lok Si in Penang to see the scenery there. Well at least he met my brother the first time. My brother was like "who the heck is this guy," 

YAY! Finally my first time in Kek Lok Si at night. 

We were pretty much stucked in traffic the whole night. But then we saw an abandon road and we took risk and drove  in there. Found out a short cut through it and succeeded in getting to Kek Lok Si without congestion !

Is like another realm there, when we get to the inclined lift. I expect it to bring us to just this giant statue of Guan Yin , i didn't expect it to bring me to another big space of land with pretty lights . totally in awed that Penang have such place and yet not knowing it even after studying there for three years.

So i came back home on day 5 and the best thing is, He told me there will be this "miao Hui" (don't expect me to translate this, i probably just translate it to SUPER BIG PASAR WITH CHINESE THEME) We both thought it will be this Saturday. Okay, so there will be another day for me to rest, but then he go and shock me by saying it is actually Friday, which is the day after i just came home from his house. 

Wanted to ooze blood cuz travelling alone is pretty tiring. 

So Here i am again, taking a 1 hour train to Penang again to meet him, again. ( i know i repeatedly wrote "again" three times in one sentence)  We took the ferry across from Butterworth because it's going to be even packed than going to Kek Lok Si. This event happened only once in a year, of course people will come. I think i walked almost 5 km , probably hatched two eggs if i was playing Pokemon Go. 

First time here, so i was pretty excited. Like small little kid brought to a playground . THE WHOLE PLACE IS FULL OF HUMAN BEINGS. 

as the night grows , the whole place is like two sardine cans in one sardine can.  (what kind of metaphor is this)

I like crowded places, but not this. There was this lion dance performance and i am practically squashed flat between fleshes and sweats. I wanted to fly above them and escape from this. I believe if there is any danger in that place, i probably die from human stampede. 

I can't even eat properly because everyone knocks you over when you wanted to stop to order something. Okay, so there were a few traditional games there. Some stations that offered chalks for your to vandalise the street. HAHA. 

We went to visit this Teochew association building where they were putting thick TEochew makeup on people just so they can get their pictures snapped in a Teochew traditional costume. Didn't had much energy left to participate . 

So that's practically it.

PS: I am back to my depressing mode again where i am boyfriend-less. locking up myself in the room 24/7 and only come out to breathe some fresh air when i am taking my meals.
how sad.

Dilemma

What happen when this is your final semester to take up this minor course and it happens to clash with your major timetable ? 

if failing a subject caused me not to graduate is my own fault but having not to graduate just because i can't take that particular course is a total WASTE!

i can't stop worrying. i've been finding all ways , i wanted to get back to school asap and beg the lecturers to help me. PLEASEEEEE help me . 

This is like between life and death , even more painful than death because it will keep haunting me every night before i go to sleep. 

I do not want to graduate ONE YEAR later while half of the year i won't be doing anything but to wait for the second semester to arrive to TAKE THAT ONE PARTICULAR COURSE. 

I need help. Badly

Buu's Kitchen

 Yay, i'm back again. Just like i promised, i am blogging again :) So i'm back home now, at my hometown (lonely place without him, yes, but he's coming over next week. can't wait to see him) 

This time i'm doing a food review on Buu's Kitchen which is located at Hin Bus Depot (yes, they took over Tavern in the Park). I'm not quite a food blogger, but am trying to venture into this field as well because i love food. (who doesn't?)

 Their interior, reminds me of a south western diner. Quite cowboy or ranch style.

i honestly love Hin Bus Depot because their art culture attracts me. i just feel really indie here but too bad i had just been there three times only. Would love to participate in their pop up store every Sunday, well if there's space for me. I remember there were so many stalls there is hard for me to walk around without getting bumped. 

 This is their carbonara spaghetti. It is rare to see carbonara that have eggs mashed up inside . haha, it tasted pretty good to me, not really milky or thick but just nice for my taste bud ( because i don't like it thick anyway). 

I'm not sure about the price , you may scroll below to their Facebook page and ask. 

 My boyfriend loves this Aglio Olio, because he likes spices. He tasted fried dry garlic, dry chilli, mushrooms and olive oil sprinkle with oregano, maybe more i don't know. Is quite spicy for me , the chili flakes maybe, but you can request not to have it too spicy depending on your taste.

Unboxing Muffin Beauty Box review

 Muffin.my is the largest beauty review website in Malaysia and will be launched this June. I always find this website genre quite interesting because it helps people to know the product that they want to buy better. Like if i want to buy a nice worthy concealer and didn't know which brand would be nicer, i can just go on muffin.my and checked out the reviews and all the product range offered. 

I got the beauty box in just 3 working days! I always love receiving beauty boxes because all the surprise you can get when unboxing it.

 looking through the box. i spot two full size product and the rest are masks, sample sheets, and mini size products. 

 In fact it is quite alot of brand in this one box and i'm pretty excited to try everything. 

 First up is Purevivi cleansing lotion which is good in removing make up, 

i had been searching one of this thing very very long ago, because all i see was "removes eye and lips make up", it's quite hard to search for those cleansing lotions that can remove your entire face. 

i'm going to review on this shortly~

Fighting to forget

it's going to be the end of year now. 
to think that so much had changed in just such short period of time
when the person you once used to know so deeply had eventually become a stranger

I'm sure nobody knows why i did that, nor when no matter what rumors had flooded into their ear, they just analyse things at their own point of view. 
i can't blame them, what i did was wrong or maybe just plain selfish.

but i chose not to hide, in other words, i made a decision to choose and not be greedy. Being greedy will be even sinful. you can't have two, your heart can only affords for one.
and i'm sure there will be still others waiting for me to fall down and laughed and mockingly tell me " i told you so,"

which in fact, i can't help it they had created this thoughts of theirs because what i did was wrong. you know i used to think that way to somebody else who had did the same thing to my friend. I loathed her for a reason. 
When i'm in her shoes, it's a different story. (well maybe in her case, it's another special reason)

But had they dig deeper and ask why is it that i did that. 
They think it's easy, but no, it's not. 
Up until now i'm still reminiscing. 
Up until now it haunts me in my sleep.
like this morning.. i woke up in tears.
just to realize, maybe it was the memories that matters, not the person anymore. 

and i got my answer now, there's no turning back. i need to focus, i need to pull my strings together and look forward instead of keep going back. 
There's someone there in front of me , but i keep looking back. it's not fair . Not fair for both sides.

move on, girl, just move on. 
No matter how many memories that loops around me all the time, 
how many things i try to clear off but can't because there's just too many in 3 years

i chose this
i had to remind myself from time to time, again and again. 
it's my decision.
